Edit the hosts file in linux

For my trixbox server I need to edit my hosts file so that it knows where to go when I specify sip.broadvoice.com.  Here is an example.
login to the console
type in vi /etc/hosts
edit the hosts file with your IP and the hostname this should resolve to
hit the ESC key then :wq for write and quit.
