Configure Exchange 2007 for BES 5.0 upgrade

Create an account for Exchange named BESAdmin\nAssign owner on ALL public folders\nMy computer>Manage>local users and groups>groups>double click Administrators and add BESAdmin\nOn Exchange 2007 server open EMS type in add-exchangeadministrator "BESAdmin" - role ViewOnlyAdmin\nOn the AD server do the following:\nOpen Active directory users and computers\nview>advanced features>properties>security tab>advanced click add type BESAdmin apply in the allow column send as checkbox.\nVerify BESAdmin can access usuer accounts:\nC:program filesresearch in motionblackberry enterprise serverutilityiemstest.exe\nselect the account you want to test click ok\nPrepare the existing environment - run tools BB50UpgradePrep.exe to prepare the existing environment\nBackup the database - run toolsBlackBerryDbBackup.exe an example of this command for a database named BESMgmt to a folder that is named DB_backup_folder use this command BlackBerryDbBackup.exe -d BESMgmt -f C:DB_backup_folder -U sqlusername -P sqlpassword\nBESAdmin needs the following permissions in AD users and computers where the users are located. \n-for the containers, the list contents permission\n-for the user objects, the read all properties permission\nFind ldap information\nInstall Windows support tools\nstart>run>ldp\non the connection menu click connect - connect to the domain controller\nin the ldp windows view>tree select the first option\ncopy the baseDN to a text file
